Fred’s practice covers all aspects of drafting and prosecuting patent applications, including preparing appeal briefs and appearing before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He has also authored patentability and infringement opinion letters, and assisted in litigation by performing legal research and in drafting briefs, motions, declarations, and affidavits.
Fred began his career at the New York Power Authority as a plant electrical engineer at the Indian Point 3 nuclear power facility, where he gained extensive experience in electrical engineering, mechanics and software. After seven years there, during which he obtained his J.D., he began his legal career, focusing on patent law. In this years since, he has represented clients in a wide range of electrical and mechanical fields, such as electronic and optical communications devices; wireless communications devices and networks; electronic circuit design and devices; semiconductors; software; motor vehicle transmissions, exhaust systems, suspensions and instrumentation; drive trains for hybrid vehicles; industrial printing machines,; and medical ultrasound devices.
